StaffPlan Roster User wins Young Entrepreneur Award
Mark Beaumont, StaffPlan Roster user and founder of Unique Care Solutions has been awarded second place in the Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ Awards in Glasgow on 17th November 2008. Mark, had already been named West Lothian’s top young entrepreneur in the regional final in September.

When asked about StaffPlan Roster Mark said "StaffPlan Roster is everything that we need in one package - in fact more than we need at the moment. It just gets on with it - its great."

All kinds of businesses were represented in the competition - the overall winners run a brewery!

User Group Meeting a success
The 7th Roster User Group meeting, which took place at the Hilton Euston in London was a great success, attended by 70 users and many StaffPlan staff.

The highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Simon Burrows, StaffPlan development lead, and Nigel Price of Derbyshire County Council. Simon showed the new features in 'Auto Allocation' the schedule optimisation tool in StaffPlan Roster V4, and Nigel explained how Derbyshire had used those features to improve the efficiency of the service.

The next Roster User Group Meeting is likely to take place in October 2009, again in London.

StaffPlan exhibit at National Adults and Childrens Service Conference
Bouyed up by the news that they were preferred suppliers in five local authority procurement processes StaffPlan took a stand in the exhibition area of National Adults and Children's Service conference in Liverpool.

Amongst the many existing and prospective users that visited the stand was Bill Robertson, Strategic Director, Adult Social Services Department. Although unable at this stage to give a precise figure for the savings Derbyshire have accrued through their use of Auto Allocation he told Mark Chapman, the Managing Director of StaffPlan, that he expected it to amount to "about £1m a year".

StaffPlan contributed to the poster site at the exhibition a mind map showing the benefits of a Point of Care System such as StaffPlan Connect.

StaffPlan moves up Deloitte UK Fast 50
StaffPlan have moved up the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 - an award programme honouring business growth, technological innovation and UK entrepreneurial spirit. Over the past 11 years, the Deloitte Fast 50 ranking has become the benchmark to identify the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies through an objective ranking.

“Achieving sustained revenue growth of 704% over five years is a tremendous accomplishment during challenging times for the technology sector,” said Peter O’Donoghue, Deloitte Technology partner for the London Region. “StaffPlan’s exceptional growth puts it in select company.”

Mark Chapman, StaffPlan's Managing Director, commented "StaffPlan prides itself on applying technological innovation to the problems facing the care sector. StaffPlan sponsors Scottish Care at Home
StaffPlan sponsored the second Scottish Care at Home annual conference and award ceremony held in Glasgow on 16th May 2008. Once again Mark Chapman, StaffPlan's managing director presented the award for the Manager of the Year. StaffPlan also presented a lunchtime seminar on the topic of Point of Care systems, which featured the StaffPlan Connect product.
